Fantels “Name Of The Game”/Hugh Mundell “Walk With Jah” (Arawak) 12″

Fantels “Name Of The Game”/Hugh Mundell “Walk With Jah” 12″ was issued by the Brooklyn, NY-based Arawak Records in 1980.  Side-A is the extended mix of the Fantells’ (the name is misspelled on the label) “Name Of The Game” over the Shank I Sheck riddim and Side-B features Hugh Mundell singing over the same extended mix.  The deep, wide grooves on this collectors grade vinyl is just amazing.  The single “Walk With Jah,” brilliantly produced and masterfully mixed by Prince Jammy for the Jah Fire LP, charted in the UK for Mundell in November/December 1981.

What is perhaps most impressive about this tune is the hand drumming by Sticky and Scully.  HOLY SHIT!  Just listen to those two legendary Rastas beat those drums to death!  It really doesn’t get much better.
